A Shorts Story
It began like any other day. She rose at 7 to the scent of freshly ground coffee beans and silently praised herself for snagging the automatic brew model. After her regular morning rituals were complete - showered, hair styled, make-up done - she approached her closet and began to assemble an ensemble. For some reason, she was drawn to these dark navy shorts - something about their soft fabric, pretty pleating, and comfortably elasticized waist felt right. She added a lacy retro blouse, vintage studs, and wedge heels, then ventured outside. As she rounded the corner, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She spun around and found herself face-to-face with New York's top stylist. "You must come work for me!" the fashionista exclaimed, "Your outfit - especially those shorts with the exposed front zippers - is to die for!" This was the start of a beautifully chic career, she thought, knowing her stylish shorts had a hand in her fashion fate.
