Tokyo Heel

I'm having to send the shoe back because the 8.5 is too big for me. Typically an 8.5 might be a just a touch big on me but is usually the safer choice fwhen ordering online as 8 is sometimes too tight. But this shoe fit my friend who usually wears a 9, so they run large. The shoe is beautiful and indeed the heel is more hunter green than in the picture, making the constrast that much nicer. I'm REALLY hoping the 8s work. Also it was my first experience with customer service and they were great.

I usually wear 6.5. I can get away with 7s in boots and lace-up shoes, but not with dress shoes or sandals, so I'd say I'm a true 6.5. The listing says true to size, but the 2 previous reviews indicate 1/2 size too big. I consulted a ModCloth specialist over the telephone to determine the best size for me. I was advised by the specialist to go 1/2 size down from my usual size 6.5 to a size 6 because of the reviews. Unfortunately in my case, going down 1/2 size was not the best move. The size 6 is a true size 6 and too small for me. Drat ... will have to send it back. Costly mistake considering mailing costs and duty fees to Canada. :( I don't love the shoe enough to risk ordering a possibly ill-fitting 6.5. I did not find the trim or heel to be hunter green in colour as indicated by previous reviewer. The shoe I received is same colour as the image on the screen; not hunter green. I docked a point on quality as there is just a smidgen of glue and 2 stitches of white thread visible on the ball of the foot between the platform and the leather upper. Mind you, it's not visible when the shoe is on. Other than the sorrows of my misfortune, I do recommend the shoe. It's nicely lined inside and has a soft footbed. If I had ordered the right size, I would have been quite happy with this shoe.
