These adorable deep-red Jeffrey Campbell booties remind me of something my (hopefully stylish) Norwegian ancestors would have worn under their wool skirts as they swished through the snow, their hair rolled up in long braids. I love the details on these shoes - not only do they lace up, but they buckle too, and they're lined with faux sheepskin, so even when I'm wearing heels, I'll feel like I'm in cozy slippers. The contrasting textures of the suede and leather of the boots add subtle interest to the shoe. I can't wait to wear them with a pleated plaid skirt, a warm wool sweater and a capelet.
