Take a Shining to Shoe in Cerulean

The quest for the perfect shoes is never an easy journey. It typically involves a lot of time, patience, and most importantly, a razor-sharp vision of your ideal pair of kicks. For me, it all began with a picturesque photo featured on one of my favorite street style fashion blogs, The Satorialist. A lovely young Parisian woman (of course) was photographed on a tree lined cobblestone city street (can you picture it?) wearing a printed babydoll dress, black tights, and the prettiest patent oxfords I had ever seen. I immediately scoured "my sites," resale shops, and thrift stores for shoes of similar beauty. I wanted traditional oxfords, ones that weren't overly masculine, with that alluring patent shine. Finally, after weeks of searching with little success, I set my sights on these dashing, dark turquoise, perfectly patent leather oxfords, by one of my all-time favorite shoe designers, Jeffrey Campbell. I love how these darling flats have just the slightest hint of lift in the modest heel, while the enclosed lacing, and curves of traditional stitching in the flawless construction make for a sleek, sophisticated silhouette. Thank you, Jeffrey Campbell, for once again producing an immaculate pair of shoes. I will proudly wear these alluring oxfords with skinny jeans, opaque tights, or knit knee socks, and when I am bombarded with compliments over my impeccable taste in footwear, I will attribute my fashion success entirely to you! -Annie, Fashion Writer
