Feeling Pine Flat

First off, the color of these shoes is even more beautiful in person; I was smitten the moment I pulled them from the box. That being said, I did not anticipate the odd fitting of the shoe itself. My biggest misgiving is what I call "toe cleavage", where you can see the cracks of the base of your toes when wearing the shoe. I find that it looks sloppy and not-so-pretty, though remedied with socks or darker tights (though, I had planned on wearing these without) and I have short, stubby toes! I also bought an 8.5, my usual size, and had I gone smaller to avoid "toe cleavage", they wouldn't have fit. I also would not recommend these shoes to those with wider feet, particularly because of the opening on the side permitting some bulge. Mine was borderline too wide to be accommodated by the somewhat narrow shoe. Nevertheless, because of their gorgeous color and how unique they are, I will be keeping them to pair with my fall outfits... and, unfortunately, socks.

I really enjoy these shoes and I absolutely love the color. At first I was afraid that they looked too different because of the odd shape and strapping but I have gotten so many compliments that it changed my outlook. Different is good and these are great!
