The Last Strawberry Boot

I have been obsessed with these shoes since the day they popped up in New Arrivals, and after a little waffling I took the plunge and bought them. Could not be happier. The price is high (definitely the most expensive shoes I have ever owned) but it is justified by the quality of the shoe. I am normally a 10.5 - 11 so it was a bit of a risk for me to order the 10 but they fit like they were made for me (which leads me to believe they might run a half size large). The color is a spot-on match to a Crayola "Strawberry" crayon: vibrant red leaning just a tad more towards purple than orange. One thing to note: I have very narrow feet and these fit snugly, so they might not work for wider widths. The canvas, leather, and zippers are all high quality and I look forward to rocking me new "outer space shoes" for years to come!

Sooo, here is my essay. :) This is my first ModCloth order! Truthfully, I felt uneasy because I have never previously ordered shoes online and depending on the kind of shoe, I could only guess that I am abouuut a 7 1/2 - 8 in most shoes. But these looked so cool that I went out on a whim and took a chance with a 7 1/2 (there was no 8 in stock anyways). Luckily for me they fit just fine! They are quite narrow and a little cramped, it makes my heel feel like it isn't quite settled in there sometimes, but nothing I can't manage. You can probably break them in after a bit of wearing. The laces seemed long, I don't mind wrapping them once around my ankle and going with that but maybe there is another way to play them up, i'm not sure. The red is a pinch brighter than the picture, but barely. I'm still experimenting with outfits to wear but it looks good with pitch black skinny jeans and maybe a simple tee. No opportunity to wear them out yet, but my boyfriend loves them and wants me to wear them everywhere we go :) Overall such an amazing pair of boots, I like them more&more every time I put them on. If you're considering buying them, DO IT, maybe size up a teeny bit if you have average sized feet and appreciate some extra toe space.

I love these shoes, but they run 1/2 size too small. I got an 8 1/2, but my toes were smushed.
