I've got this great friend, Cindy, whom I've known for over a decade now. Cindy and I share an appreciation for personal style and a love for many of the same bands. I've got this great friend, Cindy, whom I've known for over a decade now. Cindy and I share an appreciation for personal style and a love for many of the same bands. Heck, Cindy and I have even collaborated a number of times in our own musical pursuits. She is a dexterous keyboardist, an amazingly talented vocal harmonizer, and she even knows her way around a few Kiss songs on guitar. But ask her what her best talent is, and she may just tell you that it's collecting vintage purses. I helped her in this endeavor one time when I bought her a tooled leather purse from a vintage store for her birthday. When I look at these chocolate brown, hidden-wedge booties with their ornately embossed leather, I can't help but be reminded of that bag I gave to Cindy. But unlike that bag, which closed with a couple of buckles, if I remember correctly, these shoes, by 80%20, fasten securely at your inner ankle with a velcro patch and feature a hidden elasticized band on the other side to allow a flexible comfort as you trek through your town. And darn it, if that purse had been accented with brass nail-head rivets around the seems like these boots are, maybe she would have liked it even more. Regardless, you'll have no problem enjoying these walkable wedges when you combine them with high-waisted, blue skinnies, a burgundy, bibbed blouse, and studded, leather bracelets for a look that's a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll.
