Dearly Beloved Boot

I. Love. These. Boots. I wish I had a lovely, charming, eloquent personal story to share with you that relates to this fiercely fabulous footwear, but I don't. I only have this to offer - my pledge, here and now, to these cream leather, Jeffrey Campbell boots, to love, honor, and keep them forever and ever, till death, or some unavoidable, unforeseen fashion disaster, do us part. I promise to cherish them, and the way their delicate salmon-colored roses and sage green leaves chicly sprout from the almond-shaped toe, to the ankle-height shaft, and over the fringed tassel that sits below the fatigue green laces. I will be eternally, fashionably faithful to these cutely crinkled, lightly distressed boots, and vow to pair their deep brown, wood-look, low heels with dark tights, a simple frock, and slouchy, sweater vest cardigan, and also with tucked in skinnies, or cuffed boyfriend jeans, and sleek tees. But, I shall also allow them their own style autonomy (because relationships need room to breathe), giving them the reigns to guide me to an exquisite ensemble. I will give them a comfortable closet to rest in, and a gentle cleaning when they need it.
