Knit in the Sun Sweater
This Tulle Clothing sweater in its bold hue reminds me of a few things that I love - goldenrod, mustard, scrambled eggs, and knitting! At first touch, I was immediately enamored with the luxuriously soft knit texture of this sweater, constructed of a cotton blend to keep you warm when you need it and cool when you need that too. Any time I come across something knit, I find myself examining and identifying the stitches used. This piece utilizes classic sweater stitches with the happiest color of them all, a rich and bold yellow. The base stitch here is the stockinette, which I sufficiently taught myself one summer, not in the sun, but in the coolness of AC watching 'Law and Order' marathons. I kept at it and eventually learned rib stitches, like those found on the cuffs of the 3/4 sleeves, hem, and neckline. When I finally learned how to do raglan sleeves, such as those on this sunny sweater, I eventually knitted a few sweaters for myself. Whether they actually fit me is not the point, it's the journey one takes while knitting each individual stitch. The kangaroo pocket is the best accent for a simple sweater like this, inspiring me to try a new knitting endeavor - though, I think I'll wear this for this time being. If you're a knitter or not, you'll be a "purl" in this soft sweater. -Angela, Fashion Writer
