Heart Braker Jeans

SHOPPERS BEWARE. It kills me to write this review, because I adore these jeans so much in theory, but I shop on here all the time and this is my biggest ModCloth disappointment ever. They absolutely DO NOT run true to size. For context, I am nearly always a small in ModCloth sizes, or around a 5 in Juniors. I am a bit hipp-y, but with a fairly small waist. At the moment, I am living overseas, so I figured I’d get the 7 to be safe in case they ran a little small. However, while I can get them up my legs, there is at least 4-5 inches of gap between the buttons at the top that no amount of fabric stretch or “sucking in” will solve. In what universe is that “true to size”? Unless you are built like the Olsen twins, I recommend ordering at least 2 or 3 sizes up. Unfortunately for me, I cannot return them for a bigger size, as I now have to pay for overseas shipping AGAIN to return them and can’t afford it a third time to buy them again. ModCloth, you need to put more helpful sizing info on here (inseam and length are USELESS) and be more attentive about claiming things run true to size when they do not. I’ll bet I’m not the only person who has had this problem.

I was given these pants as a gift, and when they arrived, I was not sure they would fit properly. But, I cannot get over how much I love them. I have never ever EVER had a pair of high-waisted anything that has not needed alterations, due to the huge difference in my waist and hips. I can definitely see why they wouldn't fit properly on a lot of people, but if you have a small waist and big(ger) hips, they're definitely worth a gamble because they're super flattering and sexy!

These pants are good quality and I love the style. I usually have trouble finding pants that flatter my shape, so I listened to the reviews and ordered two sizes up from my normal size (7 usually), 11. Well they definitely did not fit. I would recommend order your normal size and one size up. I don't think it is necessary to order 2 sizes up. Unfortunately they are sold out of 7 and 9 so I will just have to wait.
