The measurements for the 16 were closer to my real measurements, but size instructions for this suit said to size up. If I had chosen the size according to my waist, it would have been WAY too big. But the suit is stretchy enough to make the waist measurement moot. The bust probably doesn't run small, but I'm willing to bet it's the hips that do. I'm glad I sized up because the hips fit well. It's not tight or loose at all around my hips/thighs and, for that, I am appreciative. The bust is a little big. I've never had that problem before with a swimsuit, so I'm not sure exactly how to combat it. It doesn't look bad though, so I'll probably just deal with it. Overall, the suit is comfortable, and looks good on me. The only changes I'd make would be to put a little more support in the bust, maybe a tighter rib band or some underwire. Especially if the bust is gonna be a little big and loose. Everything else is perfect.

i am returning this suit. i don't like a printed fabric...i would prefer the colour to run all the way thru the fabric. it looks cheap. the way it is pieced together at the seam in the back is not flattering.

Love this swimsuit! I sized up, it fits beautifully! I was initially on the fence about the blue plaid, but once I tried it on, I knew I made a good decision. Very flattering cut. This was my first Mod Cloth purchase, but I don't think it will be my last!
