During my job as a clerk at the main branch of Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Library, which shares the same building with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, I spent many a lunch break with the dinosaurs. Strolling through the Jurassic period display, I’d admire the skeletons of the huge of Diplodocus and the infamously ferocious Tyrannosaurus rex. This impressive necklace from Monserat De Lucca by Mafia is simply a smaller version of the fossilized resident of my favorite museum. From the expressive face to the vertebrae of the tail, almost every major bone is represented by this oversized, polished brass pendant, which is held by a chunky chain. Wearing this T. rex, perhaps with a plain tank or sweater, makes one distinct statement - one that says, “Dinosaurs are cool.” I’m definitely going to wear this on my next museum visit. -Angela, Fashion Writer
