I'd like to think that I am a cat lady without the terrible, socially debilitating stigma so often associated with that particular title. In my two bedroom apartment, you'll find over thirty cats - however, only two of which are living, breathing, furry felines! Brothers and best friends Klaus and Yves are the somewhat cantankerous kitties who roam the hardwood floors of my humble abode. When they're not destroying an entire roll of paper towels, or knocking over - and subsequently breaking - my favorite vintage lamps, they enjoy curling up together head-to-tail, forming what I call the "cat circle." It's kind of the most adorable thing ever, and for that act alone, I lovingly put up with their mischievous ways. The other cats which populate my place are ceramic, wooden, glass, or porcelain. A few years ago, I realized that my obsession with thrifting exposed me to a multitude of decorative cat figurines and statues. To this day, I continue to amass cat figures, and this set of black and white salt and pepper shakers will fit in with my collection perfectly! These perfectly poised pets will certainly inject a bit of adorableness into my otherwise drab kitchen decor. The round holes atop their hands make for easy dispersal of my favorite spices, while the clear rubber stopper at their base suggests convenient re-filling possibilities. These sleek, shiny black and white glazed ceramic kitties from Present Time are so sophisticated and chic, I may just have to buy two sets - one for myself, and one for a fellow cat adoring pal! -Annie, Fashion Writer
