Leipzig Hoodie

I remember walking along the cobblestone streets when I lived in Germany, seeing women with the high-neck hoodies. For a while, I didn't like the look, but it grew on me. This hoodie is very reminiscent of the style you actually see in Deutschland. I had a lot of great times in Leipzig, so this is a nostalgic piece for me. As far as the fit goes, I am quite satisfied with it. I am 5'1" and 110 lbs. and I ordered the Small. It fits well. I also like all of the details on the piece. When I first read the hood could be zipped away, I was skeptical. I thought it would be really bulky. Well, it came in the mail with the hood zipped away, and it was fairly seamless. I might even prefer it with the hood hidden. It zips away into the collar, so I can imagine it might give you a nice bit of insulation when it's cold out--as if cold could be a problem with this hoodie. The material is nice and thick. I imagine it will be perfect for autumn and for nights by the camp fire in the summer and spring. The zipper details are cool. You might not be able to tell from the picture (I couldn't), but the main zipper is a double zipper--that is, you can do things like zipping it up to the middle and unzipping it from the bottom, while still leaving the front clasped together. I probably won't use that function too often. And for anyone who's wondering, the zippers on the breast open up to nothing. Those "pockets" are just for decoration. It would have been a cool cell phone or cash pocket, but I'll live without it--maybe I'll even alter it to make the addition myself. Anyway. Love it. Five stars, for sure.

This hoody is great. I can wear it as a jacket in Vegas winters. I love all the little details and is very slimming. I have a few complaints however. Pretty much the same ones as everyone else has: wrists are a little too tight but seem to have loosened up over time. and it's shorter than it looks here. But I am taller than average. The Medium fits well. Sleeves are a good length and I have long long arms.

I just got this in the mail today and I love it! It was my first ModCloth purchase so I was a bit worried how it would fit or what the material would be like, but everything is perfect. The weather is supposed to be cooler next week and I can't wait to wear it! I got a small. I'm 103 lbs and 5'4 and it's perfect. The sleeves are a great length (they end halfway down my palm) and the length goes just below my hip bones. (just the way I like it) It is sweatshirt material, but not a soft sweatshirt material. I love the BA style of this hoodie as well. Looooove it! The Leipzig Hoodie is now my favorite hoodie!
