I'm wearing this right now. I love it! It's comfortable, but effective. It brings my waist in about 1-2" (2 when I first got it, but I've lost weight) and I don't feel like I'm sucking in at all. I will definitely buy another if/when this one gets too big.

I was deeply pleased to get this in the mail! I feel as if a lot of other shapewear I've purchased is more about the thighs and butt than it is about the hips and waist, so it was great to find this old school piece that shapes the torso. It definitely IS old school -- the boning means you have to sit up VERY straight -- but I think that's a good thing, personally. One thing I noticed is that if you're not wearing it with stockings, it does have a tendency to roll up a bit at the bottom. That's likely at least in part a sizing issue -- my hips are on the larger end of "large" -- but if you're planning to wear it when you're moving around a lot, I would recommend choosing the larger of two sizes if you're debating between two of them.

This is my favorite purchase from modcloth! It cinched my waist about an inch on both sides. I ordered an xs. I'm very happy with it. It's not uncomfortable and it's functional. It's the perfect addition to any vintage lover's wardrobe. However, I didn't get the garters. I searched the box and I suppose they just got left out of the order.
