While some rocks are in-your-face awesome, others are more discretely striking. These especially stunning forest-green and charged-red stones instantly reminded me of a really cool discovery I made not too long ago, when my friend showed me the results that came out of her vintage rock tumbler! Much like the unique markings on these lead- and nickel-free dangling earrings, the previously nondescript pebbles we pulled out of that durable, old canister, after being toppled around for about a week and rinsed of their gritty cleanse, were now speckled, striped, and surprisingly colorful! Similar to these wire-caged, round, flattened stones, I found that any old rock you might pick up from around your house is being held within a coop of common dust and dirt, just waiting to be tumbled to show off its true colors. I see myself hanging these earrings over an outfit of muted earth tones and subtle silhouettes, so that the remarkable characteristics of these unique rocks can speak for themselves! -Christen, Fashion Writer
