Your Every Celebration Dress

So much love for this dress! Where should I start? The material is light, but not at all see-through, so I am loving the coverage! I found the silver polka dots to be the right amount of colour to catch a shimmer when you're under light so you won't fade out into the dress. The bow trim + blue + silver dots give it a summery-princess feel. As for the fit, I am typically between a M-L, and went for the M, and it fit very well. Being a C cup, the top wrapped around nicely; there's an elastic at the top for a good grip around your bust and back to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions, as well as to give a bit if you have a larger bust. There is also some padding in the boobies, so if you want to go au natural on a chilly day, you'll still be ok! The trim starts at my natural waist, which is good, because I hate when strapless dresses shrink my torso. This also allows for the dress to flow out nicely to elongate the rest of me. I am bottom heavy, so the fact that it flows away from the body from the waist (A-line style) works well for my body type. The material allows for swishing motions if you want to do the twist - which makes this dress so much more fun! The length is as stated in the measurements - it will hit just above the knee. It does come a bit crinkly, so get ready to do a bit of steam ironing. Hope this review helps for those on the fence about the dress!

First purchase at Modcloth and unfortunately it's a return. The small was huge on me: the dress was impossible to keep from falling to my waist, even long enough to snap a photo. I also found it too long for my liking (knee-length) and not flattering for a slim/straight body shape. I did like the baby blue color of the dress (but not the silver dots, which were more noticeable than I thought), and the bow accents. Better luck next time!

I would love this dress if it fit..it is partially my fault, I'm usually a 16-18 and thought maybe it would fit, but had no such luck. I really wish modcloth had a larger variety of sizes, because, now, I don't have a prom dress...and I'm bummed
