I got this dress for my birthday and pulled it out of the bag and was iffy at first. I'm short and more curvaceous than most 5' 2" gals out there. Let me just say when I put it on, I fell in love! It is very complimentary! And even without the belt it's not as frumpy as you'd think. I'm usually in between sizes L and M and the M works just fine. Could have even pulled off the small due to how flowy the dress is (to be safe, though, I'd only order down one size if I were you). Let the pictures do the talkin!

I love this dress! The top is a loose fit, but the detail more than compensates for it. I get so many compliments on this dress, it looks great dressed up and dressed down!
