You Look Migrate Dress

As soon as I saw this dress in New Arrivals, I pounced on it and ordered. As I am in between sizes Medium and Large usually, and the description stated that it is true to size with no stretch, I opted for the Large. In hindsight, I should have stuck with the Medium as there was plenty of room, especially in the elasticized waist which causes a bit of unflattering bunching in the back of the dress. Meh, can hide with a cardigan I suppose but that would also cover up the cute detailing of the cuffed sleeves and the buttons at the shoulders :( The colour is beautiful and I imagine that it will flatter most complexions, the print is clear and pretty geometric bird patterns almost, and the viscose material is almost like a thin linen type material which is prone to wrinkling. In fact, when it arrived, it was very wrinkled but once I ironed and steamed it, it looked a lot better. The snap button that is used to secure the front wrap at the chest area is a good idea but not as functional as it quickly pops open if you yawn or stretch your arms out too much. If I keep the dress, I will definitely be using a safety pin or will sew on a more secure button. On the whole am satisfied with the dress although am still undecided about whether to keep it or not -- sold out in minutes so I can't exchange for a Medium. Not sure if the easy wrinkles and non-ideal fit is worth the $80. Modcloth, I still love you -- but on the fence about this dress.

I love the fabric quality and print to this dress. It does, however, run large at the bust. I am a size 12-14 in dresses and order the XL. It fits perfectly on the bottom, but is huge on top. Almost like I need a L bust and an XL bottom. I can wear a cami under it and play it off like it's supposed to be that loose, or I might just have it taken in on top. Regardless, I am keeping it because I can't get over how cute the dress is overall. I agree that the snap keeping the bust together is cheap and pops open easily, so that will need to be replaced as well. And comes really really wrinkled. Nothing I can't fix.
