You Flight Up My Life Dress

This dress is my first clothing purchase from ModCloth, and it is absolutely darling! I felt adorable on a Zooey Deschanel/Allison Brie level wearing it. The color, as noted by previous reviewers, is even more beautiful and vibrant in person. When the dress first arrived and I took it out of the package, I had two immediate concerns, but they were done away with as soon as I tried it on. First, I was afraid it might be a tad short for my liking. Though it is *slightly* shorter than skirts/dresses I would normally wear, I was not overly uncomfortable with the length (which is just an inch or two above my knees.) Second, the fabric (while very good quality) is quite thin, and there isn't any lining. I feared that any unsightly bump, bulge, or line would be on display for the world to see. Miraculously, this did not prove to be the case at all. Everything smoothed over quite perfectly. The dress is really versatile, wearable in warm weather or in cold (if paired with tights and a cardigan.) I really love it and can give it my wholehearted recommendation.

I LOVE the print of this dress and like other reviewers have noted, the color is to die for in person, a beautiful emerald. Its made of quality fabric, it doesn't really stretch and is a little snug in some areas on me like the hips, but not uncomfortably. My only problem is that the back (which is a racerback) is kind of baggy and bunches. I find myself pulling at the front and back trying to make it lay flat. But that one little quirk is not enough to return this beautiful dress!

This dress is gorgeous. The green is so intense and beautiful and the print is darling. I actually think the birds are a bit off-white coloured instead of snow white like they look in the pics online. Perfect length skirt hitting a few inches above the knees and the elastic hits right at the waist. The ruffle is cute without being poofy. I had no problems with the back bunching or anything, it sit flat for me right out of the bag. The only challenge is what bra to wear! I like to avoid strapless bras if I can but I think I'll have to suck it up for this dress. The material is nice quality and the dress is comfortable. I definitely recommend it.
