Yellow, Gorgeous! Dress

I was sooo excited for this dress. I check Modcloth every day for new items, and this was the first time I got up the guts to just order something. Pros? This dress is beautiful quality. It's more of a natural-y golden color than the vibrant yellow of the photo, but I love that. The smocking in the back is definitely great for busty girls. I am 150 pounds and I have a small waist, but am usually a dress size large because of my bust. The medium fits like a charm! I'd recommend going with the size you'd get without worrying about your bust, because the smocking definitely takes care of the problem (also, another reason to size down is below). There is also a band of that shiny elastic stuff around the inside of the top of the bust area to help keep it up. Unfortunately, the one big con of this dress may be the deal-breaker for me. As you can see from the side thumbnail of this dress, there is A LOT of fabric. I ordered the medium and took a gamble on the bust for that specific reason--in hopes of it not being a problem--but it's still A LOT of fabric to tote around. The folds in the skirt are quite deep, which make it poof out in the front and back more than I'd like, ultimately making me look significantly bigger than i am. This may be a good tummy-hider for those with trouble in that area, but for me, the decision is up in the air for keeping it. If your body can handle the extra fabric, I'd highly recommend this dress--gorgeous and great quality.

i waited a while before buying this dress, but it is very worth the cost! LOVES

I fell in love at first sight with this dress the instant I removed it from the bag. The only problem? I ordered a small & it is at least 2 inches too big all the way around. I walked from one end of my apartment to the other (1500 sq feet) and ended up flashing my neighbors across the street, so I am going to have to send it back. If the zipper was in the back, I would have it taken in, but with the zipper on the side, it is too big of a project/too much of a risk/too expensive considering the cost of the dress. :( I love Ryu styles, though, and have had great luck with their stuff in the past. I would definitely recommend this dress... the fabric and design are AWESOME and I am very sad to return it. (I gave it 5 stars because of my opinion of it; I wish it fit :( )
