We Have to Go Backless Dress

I saw this dress when it came on Be the Buyer and knew I wanted it when it became available. I was sad it wasn't in stock for new years, but I just got it today. The pros of the dress are that its very good quality (seems are well stitched and the snaps are well attached to the mesh) and the fabric is thick enough and well lined enough that you could go without a bra if you feel comfortable enough. The silhouette is also amazing. Very sleek and flattering from all angles and very thinning. Its also long enough that it works for taller girls without being indecently short (yay!). The skirt also stretch, which meant that it wasn't too tight for my hips and thighs, which is usually tough with fitted dresses. The cons are that the fabric has a LOT of stretch, which means that the medium that I ordered wasn't as fitted as I wanted since this should be a sexier fitting dress. As the fabric and mesh both stretch, it meant that the whole dress was a bit looser than I liked. Fortunately, this is ModCloth, so I'm exchanging for a small and recommending sizing down. Also, if you have any tattoos on your back, they will most likely show. The one on the small of my back peaks up an inch or two.

I had to send this dress back :(. The quality is amazing, and the stitching is well done. The back is much sturdier than in the picture, and overall it's a pretty dress, but because I'm a stick- it just doesn't work lol. There are bumps in the chest and rear, and nothing to fill it. Still, for those who have curves, I could see this as an amazing dress!

I was perusing the site, looking for something to wear to an off broadway musical at the local performing arts center this week. I wanted something classy, yet sexy, and this did the trick! Other reviews helped me to determine a good size. I'd say overall this runs true to size. I'm usually right in between a medium and large, depending on the article of clothing I'm buying, but I think the medium fits me well. The material is very stretchy...good quality, but stretchy. It is the kind of material that would bunch up and look frumpy if you went too big, so if you're debating what size to get, I'd go smaller. The only thing is that I think it's a tad too short. Keep in mind I am 5 foot 7, but this is almost uncomfortably short for me, hitting right at the edge of my upper thigh. I'm still conteplating wearing it to this type of fancy event, but overall I love the dress and think it fits well, and is beautiful. It is made of a good quality material which seems like it should last for a long while. I hope this helped you out! -Amanda age 18
