Online, I thought this to be one of the most beautiful, versatile little dresses I had ever seen. In person, I was disappointed. The color and length are absolutely perfect, and the fabric is nice quality. Although coming out of the packaging it obviously needs to be steamed, it was clear right away and as I kept evaluating it that the fit and construction were off. It didn't hug me at my waist (which is kind of high), so I felt very boxy. The draping--a tough thing to get right--also wasn't working. (Instead of flowey the draping just looked a bit sloppy, and the asymmetrical piece hanging down did just that--hang--instead of flowing into the design.) Most troubling for me was the the upper bodice, which was beautiful except for it sitting unevenly and having a jutting seam in the middle of the left breast (see photo). Maybe it's just/mostly the particular dress I received, but I think I will need to return it--especially given the cost.

This was my first order from Modcloth that I went through with! The dress immediately caught my eye and ordered it as a last minute Junior Prom dress. The fabric is very comfortable and relatively good quality and the draping is gorgeous. However the dress was not very snug around the waist and around the chest area the dress kept slipping so I had to pull up my dress every 2 minutes. But overall its very comfortable and lovely but I will probably be returning it.
