*** The Casey Dress

When I first saw this adorable dress, I immediately thought of Casey Hanner, the lead singer (and plaid wearer) of my favorite Pittsburgh band - Donora! When I first saw this adorable dress, I immediately thought of Casey Hanner, the lead singer (and plaid wearer) of my favorite Pittsburgh band - Donora! She's the sweetest thing since cupcakes, and so is this navy and black checkered frock. The past few weeks have brought with them the first signs of fall, and oh, how I'd been longing for a simple plaid shirt dress to wear à la Casey with skinnies and knee high boots. Now, as I close up the silvery front buttons, slide a wide vintage belt around the elasticized waist, and head out the door, I consider the fact that these elbow length sleeves are perfect for autumn weather - the Harvest Time Fashion Goddess must have been listening. I slip my cell into one of the front welt pockets, which is a lifesaver, because, oh man, do I lose that thing incessantly. And, I can't forget one more delightful detail - a tiny emblem sewn on the lower left corner of this dress depicts the Gentle Fawn logo, a lil' deer silhouette! Too cute. -Natalie, Fashion Writer
