I bought this dress for a "Fancy Pants Wine Party" that I was invited to over the holiday season. The fabric is incredibly silky and the lace over lay is a perfect touch of elegance. The dress fit me pretty well. I may need to have the top altered a bit, just because it is a bit too big. It had a tendancy to slip down and show my bra a bit, but I solved that problem by hooking the poof accent onto the dress and my bra to prevent it from slipping. The poof accent has a pin and a clip on the back so it's ver versatile. I love this dress and I will be wearing it much more in the future; very flattering!

This dress was a huge hit at my Christmas concert. Flows very nicely, accentuates my bust just right, and the straps around the neck have satin on them so that it doesn't itch. Overall I'm very pleased! However those in canada take note - this item is imported - got charged some crazy duty on this one =(

Although I usually wear a modcloth large, I debated getting a medium because other reviews said the dress ran big at the bust. Well, I ordered a large and am I glad I did! The seam that connects the bodice to the skirt fits just right, like, if I breathe in deep enough it will be tight. The bust is very big. So big, in fact, it makes the halter strap - which buttons closed - extra long and loose, so I will have to pin it to fit my 36d chest. The dress is lovely and I have received loads of compliments! All in all a great buy, glad I got it!
