I got the size M of this dress and I am B: 36", W:28", H40" and height is 5'5. And...it fits me like a glove. So if you're around those measurements, I'd recommend size M. If your bust is > 36" it might be kinda tight, though. Waist on M could probably go up to 30". As far as construction, it's pretty well sewn together. Seams are neatly serged, etc. However, the fabric itself is awfully thin and light. Probably not worth the price they list it for, but I wanted a 1950s ish A-line dress that would look good on an hourglass figure, so I paid up. It's definitely gonna be a staple of my wardrobe. Great for casual OR dressier occasions, when coordinated properly. Sad that it won't be that great for winter because of the fact that it's unlined and lightweight fabric. 4 out of 5 stars because of the flimsiness of the material.

I really love this dress. It is modest and perfect to wear on any occassion. It is hard for me to find skirts that are long enough for my height, and I like to cover my thighs. Thank you so much for this dress. It is simple but beautiful.

This is the cutest black dress I have ever purchased, and I'm so glad I snagged it. I think I got the last one. I hope, for all you ladies, that Mod Cloth is able to restock it. This dress ties precisely at my narrowest point and flares in sweet, sophisticated femininity off of my hips. It is so slimming and flattering. It's charming, classy, and stylish, and I will feel comfortable wearing it both to work and out in the evenings. I really adore it. For reference, the medium fits my 5'5" frame and 28" waist perfectly.
