After reading the other reviews I decided to buy this dress as my first ModCloth purchase. I normally run between a medium and small (range of sizes 5-8), depending on the brand, and wanted to get the Medium, which was sold out. Decided to get the small, and although it is pretty tight-fitting, the fabric is nice and slightly stretchy and the dress is, like others said, is flattering. Luckily I'm not that tall, so I thought the length was perfect. The bust wasn't too small. The material is on the thicker side, which is appreciated, and the dress seems well-constructed. Very happy with it. My fiancee really liked this dress (for color and simplicity) and I am looking forward to wearing it on my honeymoon.

BEAUTIFUL fit and lovely navy color. Material feels very high quality... it is thicker and well-made... no cheap, thin material here! The bust line includes a "no slide" lining and I never have to worry about this dress slipping down. With most dresses of this nature I have to wear shapewear but this held me in so well and hid all imperfections on its own. It's a bit short but still classy. The little layers of fabric make it a bit more unique and detailed than your standard mini dress. Runs true to size... I'm normally a S/M and the small fit like a dream. The material is somewhat stretchy too. Best Modcloth purchase I've made!

I surprised myself with how much I like this dress! There's a bit of structure to it which I felt had a slimming effect. My only concern was the dress did ride up a bit as I walked, but I am 5'5" with an "athletic" build (a.k.a. large butt and thighs), so slender ladies may not have the same issue. I wore it for a night on the town and later for a wedding, and it was only at the latter that I became a bit self-conscious of the short length. Overall, it seemed to hug me in the right places and I've received a lot of compliments on this dress!
