Sheath All That Dress

This dress hung in my closet with the tags on for a month solid. I was really on the fence about keeping it. My quibble had nothing to do with the quality of the garment – trust me, it’s fantastic. The top came up a lot higher than I expected and I just wasn’t sure if it flattered my figure overall. I’m not particularly curvy but some dresses fake it better than others. I was worried that this one made me look too straight up-and-down, flattening the few curves that I have. My pal, Kate, convinced me to keep it. I should listen to her more often! I got nothing but compliments when I wore it, from friends and strangers alike!

I am absolutely in love with this dress! I like the way it makes me look more slender. The fabric is thick and provides stretch, especially in the bottom. I was very glad to discover that the white fabric is satiny, it gives the dress more elegance and that paired with the button details in the front and back make this dress very classy and feminine. This dress is quite long, the hem hits me below my knees, I am not short, but not very tall either, so in order to not lose height, I would wear this dress with high heels. BTW, I love the hem detail in the back! One thing I would change is the length of the straps, they are too short, at least on me, which for a second made me think the fit was small, but if the straps were longer, the top part would sit a little lower and would not pull the dress a bit tight up in the bust area and pits, I don't know if that makes sense, hopefully you get the idea :) Despite that little issue, I found the dress to be true size, it fits perfectly everywhere else. I must say this dress is worth the price, if you are looking for the perfect LBD, this is the one, it is the classic LBD but with a twist.

Like a Glove! I ordered this dress and was very nervous because it was so pricy. As always it arrived less than two days after I hit the submit order button. (mod cloth is magic that way) and when I stepped into it and pulled the zipper up I felt fantastic! Paired with a satin black clutch and satin black peep tow stilettos I am ready for New Year's!
