I've been on the hunt for a great red dress for a while and was excited to find this dress that was fun and flirty without being cheesy or slutty, as I often find red dresses to be. The reality of this dress only fell short of my expectations in a few ways. First, like many ModCloth dresses it is too short to be worn without tights, but looks adorable with tights. Second, for the price the material is cheaper than I would have liked. And third, when I tried it on one of the belt loops immediatley broke. But, all things considered, the color is gorgeous, the ruffles are cute, and the shape is flattering, all of which outweigh the negatives. I am wearing it to a charity luncheon just before Valentine's Day and cannot wait.

I ordered this right after it came out, and was so excited about the dress style and color. The pictures on the website are accurate as far as appearance goes, and the ruffle/eyelet trim at the neckline is very nice. The material, while thin, is also double layered so it's not see-through (no need to wear a slip with this dress). But, for the price, I just didn't think the quality of the material was nice enough to keep it, and the dress is VERY short. I'm 5'6" and if I had kept it, I would probably wear tights under it. If you're super skinny, it might look okay since your legs would be slimmer... though I am a size 8 and run, so it's not like I usually "hide" either. So... nice color and style, but I just wish it were more like $40 or $50.

Really good looking dress - bought it for my graduation and it was just right for the occasion! My only negative is that it was a little loose/low around the chest area so I had to pin it a little, but that could easily be because i'm not exactly well endowed in the chest area! Overall, a cute dress worth the money!
