overpowering--in the least complimentary way imaginable. too much going on, unappealing. cannot tell if it is a dress or a coat.

I think it's classy. It's a traditional piece updated. The color is understated and the ruffle and sleeve length gives it something special. I'd totally wear this, though it's priced a tad high.
