I like the main color and idea of the dress, but it reminds me too much of Little House on the Prairie. Maybe a lower neckline would help a bit.

It is a nice beginning for a retro look, but it is not quite there. The waist looks like it would be too high, but then again, it could be an illusion due to the lighter colored upper portion extending lower than expected.

The sleeve length and the loose looking fit make it look a little too much like a little girls dress. I think with a lower back or neckline, and maybe a belt it would be cute.
