I love how so many comments called it frumpy because it's not yet another sleeveless or bodycon dress. Surprise! Preferences exist! And elbow-length sleeves are my favorite.

Very cute, but the buttons should be black or silver instead of gold that cheapens the look.

I would highly recommend adding a belt - perhaps patent and in a bright cherry red or gold - to accent the waistline. IF the waist was accented, and the skirt slightly fuller, this dress would be very reminiscent of the cute houses dressed worn in the 1950s movies by June Allyson and the like. With those adjustments I would DEFINITELY buy this dress!!!!
