Waistline looks to high for my taste. I think it would look more sophisticated if it were lower.

The blue does look less like a nightgown, and that's both good and bad. The higher neckline will make it more versatile. I think the 1930's just aren't in right now for vintage pieces. I could see this dress being a great success in another year or two, but I just don't think it's in right now. I'd sit on it for a while if I were you.
