Too bad this didn't get picked. Contrary to other opinions, I love the combination of the purple larger pattern with the border. It looks like burnout velvet normally used to make a very lovely saree. I love the blousoned top, but I'm not a fan of elastic waists. Other than that, it looks like the perfect length (long enough to be modest but short enough so as not to be matronly).

Too much is going on, especially with the weird red coloring... But I like the purple a lot.

I like the asymmetry of the top. I normally wouldn't think or wish to put red and purple together, but I think you've pulled it off well here - my liking it actually surprised me. I think that the draping sleeve and simple straight bottom make the dress look elegant yet casual.
