Another very high-waisted cut. I am 5"6" and about 125, ordered the small, which fit everywhere but the elastic waist was right under my bust. I tried it with a different belt and the elastic was too high - it still showed above a wide belt. The dress fit everywhere else and was cute, but is best cut for a petite height. I will have to send it back. I agree with the previous reviewer about the buttons being loose. I would probably replace them with real metal buttons if I kept the dress. The buttons that come on it are cheap plastic, which takes away from the overall aesthetic of the dress. I, too, would wear it with dark tights and heels.

This is the first dress that I ordered from ModCloth. I'm a pretty standard medium and the dress fits great. It was a little shorter than I had anticipated, but with dark tights, it still works great for work. My one complaint is that the button are attached badly. I've already had 3 buttons fall off, but I can sew them back on- so no big deal.

The dress is very cute, but like other reviewers mentioned it is not the highest quality. One of the buttons fell off of the sleeve immediately after taking the dress out of the box. It wasn't such a big deal since I just sewed it back on (I went ahead and reinforced all the buttons so that won't happen again). The only other issue I have with the dress is that the black underskirt on my particular dress is for some reason longer than the actual dress. Since the dress is a bit short, I was thinking of adding some black lace trim to the bottom of the skirt and sleeves (so this, as well, is not such a big deal). Other than those few small problems, it's a good dress for the price. :)
