Raspberry Tart-an Dress

As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to have it! I currently have an obsession with plaid, and this dress really fit the bill of what I was looking for! The shape is great, and I really love that the skirt comes to my knees. The only thing I would change is the cap-sleeve because it's not the most flattering on me.

This dress was part of my first order from Mod Cloth, and I was so excited for it to arrive! The parcel was just delivered and I ran to try on this dress (as this was the dress out of the order that I really wanted, the other dress I bought because I thought Why Not!) The other dress I bought was the Sapphire For Hire dress and in the same size as this 3X fits perfectly. This dress won't even do up! It is super small, and when I measured the bodice and waist up against the two dresses there is a huge difference. It is quite disappointing, and because I am in Australia it is really not economical to send it back for a refund. I was so excited when this arrived because it arrived just in time for my christmas party tomorrow, but unfortunately I will not be able to wear it. I buy clothes online in this same size (going off the sizing chart) all the time and have never had any problems- if anything they were all too big! But I almost get the feeling that this dress is sized really wrong- I don't think it is plus size at all. It is such a shame because it is a beautiful dress and is exactly as pictured on the site- and i thought it was great that Mod Cloth was finally offering gorgeous clothes for the curvy girl!

I purchased this dress to be worn over the upcoming holidays, and trust me, its going to be put to use. There are many things I love about this dress. 1) the length. I am 5'7 and it hits right above my knees. So many dresses end up being Tunics on me. 2) Fits great on my chest, not too tight. Usually button up dresses buldge and you can see my bra from the sides. 3) I can nurse my baby in this dress! Maternity/nursing dresses are all ugly to me, this is SO pretty. I will be wearing it with olive green tights and camel colored leather boots. Thanks Modcloth for offering a great quality product!
