Portrait of a Fashionista Dress in Crimson

I really love the color of this dress and I was so hoping that it would look good...but it just doesn't. I read reviews on both this color and the blue one from people saying that it might work better on someone with___(fill in various body part here) because it just wasn't quite fitting in some areas. Sadly, I think it's just the dress. Like other reviewers, it JUST fits on my hips, and is really baggy in the midsection. The bust doesn't fit correctly and the shoulders are baggy and don't lie flat. I was going to exchange it for a medium, but it sold out before I got around to returning it, and after trying it on again, I realized that a medium would probably not make it over my hips. I do like the style, and if the darn thing just FIT, I'm sure it would be cute, so I think I might go for some alterations on this one. There has to be SOMETHING I can do to make it work! If you like the look of the dress, however, I would recommend looking for a similar style elsewhere, as this might just be too much of a hassle, unless you have really narrow hips, VERY broad shoulders and a VERY large bust.

I got this dress for Halloween (I was Joan from Mad Men, and it was perfect), but it's something I'll be wearing on a regular basis. I've often found that Website pictures don't really give you an accurate idea of the color, but this is an exception - the dress is actually this shade of red. It fit like a dream - if you're on the curvy side, this dress is for you!

Beautiful dress. I wore it to a wedding and received a ton of compliments. Like the previous review, it wrinkles easy because it's a linen dress. It doesn't stop the dress from being great though. Also I ironed it before the wedding and turned a dark color. I started freaking out the dress was ruined, but after it cooled off from the heat of the iron it went back to it's color. Just be warned. I was almost out the door searching for a new dress but I'm glad this one pulled through :)
