This dress is great! I definitely think it runs a size small though. I'm normally a pretty solid medium but decided to size up with this and that was definitely the right choice. For a dress shift dress I found it fairly flattering. It had enough room where my hips and stomach didn't looked squeezed in. As for the fabric, it is kind of thin. I had no issues with it being see through (except while wearing black underwear!) All in all, I think it's a fabulous dress, but definitely size up if you don't want to be squeezed it! :)

I had been eyeing this dress for a while and was SO excited to finally order it. It arrived today, and I tried it on only to find that the dress was a disappointment. I don't have an issue with spending $180 on a dress, as long as it is high quality and can be worn again and again. The fabric was itchy, see-through polyester- definitely not high quality. I'm 5'5", 108 lbs and a runner, so I have an athletic, straight up and down sort of build. This dress really didn't do much to flatter my figure. The worst part- now I'm stuck with the dress. I'm sorry to say this was quite a disappointment, especially since it was my first modcloth purchase :(.

LOVE THIS DRESS! LOVE THIS DESIGNER! Never have I found a brand that so perfectly flatters my figure! I now own 8 dresses from Marmalade that I have acquired either from ModCloth or from Marmalade's website directly and I love every single one! Yes, the price tag is a bit steep and I by no means am in an elevated tax bracket but I do not mind paying for real quality design and tailoring and that is 100% what you get with this line. These garments are not mass produced by kids in Bangladesh who are making pennies by the hour, they are crafted by a designer and seamstress in Canada! If you were creating and sewing a dress for someone else, how much would you charge for it? Certainly not $40! I do feel the sizing runs a bit smaller than other things I own but Marmalade's sizing is amazingly consistent so if you find a M fits you in a Marmalade dress, that is your size. I always order a L and everything always fits perfectly, regardless of what fabric the dress might be made in.I have never gone out to a club, bar, or restaurant without receiving literally dozens of compliments when wearing one of these pieces! I wore this Pop Girl dress with Lola Ramona's "Painted Love" Heel for my birthday and I had tons of girls and guys alike throwing compliments my way...some even came up to my husband to remark on my outfit! Now that is something special! I cannot thank ModCloth enough for turning me on to this fashion house. I truly am one satisfied customer!
