This is my first ModCloth purchase, and the dress is high-quality and so precious. However, I am an XS, and am saddened by how many items I love on this site, yet how little XS sizes are ever offered as option (why are you forgetting us little people?!). In an attempt to see if a S would fit, I went ahead and ordered this to see if I could make it work, and it is really stunning---honestly even better than I was anticipating quality and construction-wise and so close to fitting---but alas, is just a bit too big everywhere for me. Makes me so sad to have to send this back. PLEASE OFFER MORE XS sizes, ModCloth!

I'm usually either a small or medium in ModCoth and I ordered a medium so it wouldn't show stretch and I'm happy with that decision--but I could have gone small, so this dress runs true-to-size if not ever-so-slightly large. I did not have trouble with the belt holes as soome did; that was perfect. This dress would probably look odd and be too short on a tall person. The waist does sit a bit high and that is the style that I like. I'm very happy with this purchase. I just substracted a star because the collar had a stain on it when I received it--probably due to it being a return. Not hard to fix. Be aware...it could be due to the time of year (Dec) but everybody I showed it to so far made an "elf comment", but I think "that" will stop when I wear it in the summer!

I would actually size up with this dress. It's adorable with a cardigan, although I'd prefer it to be an inch or two longer. However, without a sweater, the top is too tight across the chest, and I feel like I look kinda like a body-builder. Not the feminine flair for which I was going. So this friend is going back.
