Pin-up, Up, and Away Dress

This is the second dress I have ordered at Modcloth. The first was the Pin-Up Dress which I ordered in Medium and was WAY too small. (Even though I ALWAYS wear medium). So much so that I had to have a friend yank the zipper up while I expelled all breath I had from my lungs. Needless to say, I had to return. I am 5'7'', a 36C, and weigh 145lbs. So thinking that I totally needed a bigger size, I ordered a large. I will say that the dress does fit, but I could definitely have a better fit with the medium. It has a lot of stretch, so the dress should stretch for you as well. A thing I wish I had known before I ordered. After all this, I realize that it sounds as if I don't like the dress. This is not the case. I love the dress so much that I am willing to keep it even if it is a teensy-weensy too big. I wore it today and heard many-a-people say "What a cute dress!" as I walked by. The dress is cute... when it gets back in stock, order it. But if you are contemplating small vs. medium or medium vs. large, pick the smaller size.

I had been wanting this dress for quite some time, finally bought it and am glad to say that it is a keeper! The fit is overall good, although I do agree with other reviews that the top does fit odd. It's not that it is too big, it's that there isn't a ton of elasticity, so it feels a bit loose compared to the rest of the dress. There is a small amount of padding in the bust, so you could wear it without a bra without worrying that you can see anything too revealing thru the white! The rest of the dress is tight, but there is stretch. It is a bit short, but I can live with that. The halter straps are the type that you can tie, which is great so it's adjustable. The details of the dress are adorable, but I will say that the belt is on the cheap side. I will be finding a new, more sturdy red belt, and I think it will complete the outfit perfectly. I must say though, love this look, love the style!

I loove this dress. Fit like a glove. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because there were a few problems. I ordered a small and it fit me perfectly, but I have a 34C bust and the chest fit me perfectly, so for girls with smaller chests it might be a little large in the bust. I wasn't a fan of the padding in the bust either. When you put the dress on you can see the pads through the dress-you can see the shape of them. I ended up cutting the pads out and sewing the lining back in and now it is perfect! I feel so sexy in it!
