Paper Lanterns Dress

Love this dress! I waited ages for it to come in to stock and bought it within 5 minutes of receiving the email saying it was available! Fits beautifully quite snug on the hips but lots of room to move and I need a small for my waist size. Another perfect Modcloth purchase! Can not wait to wear it, so classy and beautiful cream colour! x x x

I have been waiting for this dress to go into production forever. I received it yesterday, and I am not happy with it. The color is more of an almond. That was not a problem because the color was still flattering on me. The problems were mostly with the fit. The dress fits a bit snug all over, and it was not flattering. Going up a size would not work because than the neck would not lay flat. Other problems: the belt is really, really long, doesn't stay belted and sticks up at the end because there is nowhere to tuck it. Another problem was the quality. The fabric felt kind of cheap for the price. I am sorry to leave this review, but the dress was a huge disappointment. So sad.

I found this dress while it was out of stock and was so bummed I couldn't get it. A few weeks later, I caught it when there were 3 left. I knew that the 3 left were probably returns, but I was worried that it wouldn't come back in stock before my wedding. So I ordered the last medium. I was so excited when it came. I put it on and was not 100% happy. The shoulders are cut too small, the waist is quite loose, and it is cut for a much larger chest. The matching belt is not made of normal belt material, but instead, made from the fabric of the dress, so it doesn't stay fastened and loosens up easily. My particular dress doesn't feel like it's cut on the bias, so it feels a little crooked on my body. I would return it for a different medium, but I would be worried that the hem would be off, or that it would fit much worse that the dress I currently have. For these reasons, I will be keeping this dress despite not being 100% happy with it.
