Usually I wear a medium in Modcloth dresses. I'm pear shaped, so you could say I am "hippy." This dress clung to my hips. I'd say it runs small. If you're thin through the hip area, you may not have an issue. It's made of a thick material, and it was really comfortable, almost like the inside of a sweatshirt. I'm definitely sending it back for a bigger size because otherwise I think it's absolutely adorable.

Love this dress! usually i wear size 4 but i bought sz M, perfect fit, may be a little bit short ( I 'm 5'4). One problem: pulls up when walking.
