Lovely at First Sight Dress

Just received this dress in the mail today. The pattern is as pretty in person as online, kinda reminds me of those photos you see of lights that are kind of out of focus (if that makes sense) - it's really pretty. A few considerations for people considering purchase: 1. The length is quite short - came a fair way above the knee which is fine for me as I tend to wear footless tights with most of my dresses but it might be hard to rock this one bare legged. 2. The fit is perhaps a bit on the large side and also coupled with the fact that the chiffon-y material overlay is pretty drapey it could kind of look a bit frumpy if it was too big. Also the elastic waist and the fabric of the dress is very forgiving, so if you're tossing up between 2 sizes, definitely size down. Even if you're on the smaller end of a particular size, I would say size down. I am probably at the larger end of medium, and I ordered a medium. If I didn't live in Australia and was able to exchange for free, I would probably even consider giving the small a go, but I will make the medium work for me. All in all it's a lovely dress as the name suggests :) Hope this helps!!

I love this dress! I recently wore it to a friend's wedding and received several compliments on it. As other reviewers have noted, the dress is short- even on me, and I'm 5'1"! But, I slipped a blush-pink tulle skirt under the dress and just let a few layers peek out- it solved the length problem and made it more playful. I also wore it with the Charter School cardigan in camel (for warmth) and some simple nude heels.

The colors and fabric of this dress are even better in person. I'm actually pairing this with a cream cardigan and brown boots for my wedding attire next week! Its a really beautiful dress that could be worn year round.
