This dress is cute and would look wonderful with a belt. The length is just right. It did not work out for me, as it was too tight (like always) on my hips, thigh, and butt area. I weigh 145lbs, for reference. I would need a large for this to fit. I didn't exchange it, but decided to return it for a refund. I just didn't think it was all that great. I certainly wasn't in love with it, especially for $50.

I ordered this because I want a dress I can wear in the winter without feeling like an idiot for, um, wearing a dress in the winter. I'm 5'8, 36DD, 160 lbs, and I got the large. (I probably could have ordered the medium, but decided against exchanging it because I didn't want to risk it being too tight on my ta-ta's or too short, like, oh, every other dress I've ever ordered on modcloth.) You definitely could add a belt, but it looks great on its own. Perfect for bday parties or wedding receptions this time of year.
