Flourish De Lis Dress

I felt like this was a gamble when I bought it, but I'm so glad that I bet on it! (1) Being quite pale, I am not normally good with brighter or more electric colors, but I was once told that lime green is an exception, and I believe it - so pale people rejoice, this dress will definitely work with your complexion. (2) The fit is very slenderizing and elegant - the long sleeves, high front, low back, belt at the actual waist level, and A-line skirt were perfect for me as a pear-shape. I like to wear it with black tights and black close-toed heels to maximize the slenderizing effect :) (3) The fabric is extremely comfortable and high quality, and what a pretty design! My only teeny tiny criticisms are (1) I'm still not completely used to the fact that so many of the dresses on ModCloth have such high waists. I have a small waist but a big ribcage, which means it actually makes me look larger if the waist of the dress is too high. Luckily, this one falls just below my ribcage, but it still took a little getting used to. I wouldn't mind the waist being down an inch or so. (2) The back of the dress is hard to work with in terms of finding a good bra. I had to pin my bra to the back of the dress to make sure it didn't show either at the lowest part or by the shoulders. I'm so glad I got this dress!

This dress is absolutely adorable! I usually thrift, but this had to be a staple piece for me! Absolutely love it :)

Ahh, love this dress. I tried it on as soon as we received it here in the office, and it fits like a dream! I ordered it for myself immediately after, and I can't wait to wear it asap! Definitely a flattering fit, and I love the adjustable belt.
