I loved this dress on line, but sigh... once again the waist is too high. It hits above a natural waist, but below an empire. Not flattering on me. Color is great, love the pleats and the length is good too. You have to add a belt to it. The waist is just elastic and looks funny without a belt. The arms are a bit tight, but I could get them on unlike the above reviewer. I really wish Mod Cloth would either starting using full manequines (with arms and legs) so you can see where the waist will hit or include were the waist hits in the description. This looked from the picture to have a natural waist, but sadly it doesn't.

Much like the last reviewer, I thought this looked very cute on the page, but in reality it just doesn't seem to be a suitable dress for me. Although overall the fit is right and the length, the proportions are very strange. The waist does seem to fall slightly above the natural waist and the elastic is sewn strangely so that it appears crooked and lumpy. It looks 10 times better with a belt or sash, and if that were the only issue I would just wear it with belts and call it a win, but unfortunately the sleeves are problematic as well. They are puffy but rather long, hitting the lower part of my upper arm, above my elbow. I feel like they would look better a bit shorter and would have looked best as a casual, straight 3/4 sleeve rather than the puff sleeve. I wanted to like this dress but between the waist and the sleeves I am afraid I would not ever be comfortable in it, so it is going to sadly have to go back.

I just received this dress today. I love the color, the style, and the pleating in the skirt, though I'm not sure how well the pleats will survive once I wash the dress. This style would look better on me if the dress was a few inches longer to make it to my knees, but I'm tall so the length will be fine on average-height girls. Also, kind of annoying: I have to unbutton the cuffs on the sleeves to get my arms through, and it is a little difficult to button them again once the dress is on. I do not have thick arms at all. I'm going to keep the dress; with the right accessories it will be great for fall.
