My first impression out of the box of this dress was that it must run a little large. The S/M definitely leans more towards medium than small, and the fabric provides a lot of stretch. This is a good thing, I was stumped as to whether to order a S/M or M/L. I lean more towards small in the waist, but sometimes my shoulders are bit big for "small" sleeves--I'm glad I ordered small. This dress probably wouldn't work for very petite girls (anyone smaller than a UK 8, the smallest size seems to be about a 10 and the hem goes to my knees.) It's great for tall string-beans like myself, though! Especially with a skinny belt to give it a bit more shape and contrast--this dress is darling, just like the picture! I might recommend that you give it a slight hem, as the style seems a bit disproportionate and blah hitting the knees--it's somewhat high waisted and altogether too gray to be a knee-length dress. That's just me, though.

This dress is sooo cute! It's exactly what i was hoping for. Though the material is a little thinner than i thought it would be, i don't mind one bit as i was planning on wearing tights with it, plus if it were any thicker it wouldn't be flowy like it is. The collar really is as cute in real life as it is on the site. The size i got fits me perfectly (S/M) and i'm sure it would fit girls a little larger than me as it has a stretchy waist. So glad I bought this dress, thanks ModCloth! :)

I'll be keeping this item because it's too pricey to keep returning internationally, but if it was free I wouldn't be keeping it, which sucks because the dresses style is adorable. The fabric is extremely thin and not good quality, definitely not worth $70, though it's true to size and well made. I'm disappointed that I wasted so much money on something that would sell for less than half it's price in chain stores here in Australia. Oh well, trial and error.
