Crisscross Examination Dress

I was nervous about this dress. I'm a little (a lot) busty, so I ordered a large before I read the reviews. I was nervous that I'd gotten something too big and too short. However, it fits perfectly! It's very figure flattering and not too tight up top or too loose at the bottom, which is usually my problem. Also, dresses tend to be shorter than I'd like on me, but this falls mid thigh, which is perfect. I'm a little concerned that there's a little too much cleavage going on, but it should be fine. This is my first modcloth purchase, and i couldn't be happier.

This dress is AMAZING!!! It is beautifully made, and a really good deal. It is a heavier fabric, but still provides plenty of stretch. I'd order a size down, because it seems from other reviews that the dress runs large in the chest (which is good for me because I have broader shoulders). I'm 5'8, 127 lbs, with broader hips and shoulder. This dress is absolutely perfect for my body shape!! I will most definitely order from ModCloth again after this fabulous purchase :)

This Crisscross Examination Dress is my first purchase through ModCloth and I have been in love with it ever since I saw it on Be The Buyer Program. Call me a stalker.... First off I loved that shipping was super fast (an awesome wake up surprise!) Secondly, this dress fits like a glove. Originally I thought the fabric would feel more nylon-ish to provide the stretch for this bandage dress but I was pleasantly surprised when I slipped it on and it felt more soft like a stretchy cotton. Despite other reviews about the dress being a tad short I feel that at least for my height the length is perfect, especially for an LBD. The diagonal banding across the bodice sucks me in and gives me the most killer curves, on top of the ones I already have. As some other ModClothers pointed out in previous reviews of other dresses zipper construction is always either on or off. The zipper construction is the only flaw to this dress. The long hidden one is perfect and I have had no snags or poor craftsmanship issues, HOWEVER....the top zipper which I didn't realized was there that connects the back straps in the middle has started to come undone right after one wear. I tried pinching the zipper back together but alas no luck. Yes, the top and bottom are sewn to try and keep it together but I'm such a paranoid person that I will be sending this dress back just to exchange for a new one. I'm far too in love with this dress not to get it back and pair it with some strappy high heels!!
