Classic Stunner Dress

This dress fits very well in the top, but the pleats do have a lot of volume to them, which makes you look wider than you are. However after letting it hang up over night then retrying it on, the pleats had settled to a much more desirable volume! All in all this is a great dress!

Great dress: I actually saw this at a boutique in Asheville, but they were out of my size at the time. When ModCloth announced it was back in stock... well, it was fate. It fits very nicely on me and can be worn for any number of occasions. The waist is very true to size, and the bust is slightly larger - beware having it scrunch up near the front if your bust does not fill it up!

This marks my first Modcloth purchase & I couldn't be happier. LOVE it. Observations: MY SHAPE: Square athletic build (hips aren't wide but ass won't lie flat), teardrop C/large B, short torso (1" 'tween ribcage/ hipbone), long legs, 127-134lbs (depending on size of lunch burrito or which guy of the moment has broken my heart) FIT: Disagree with others. Doesn't run large. Though I pack a prominent ribcage/small C, so fill out the chest area well. Perk? NO NEED TO WEAR A BRA! Fabric = winter thick, but isn't stiff + "holds" in zee girls (however WILL make you look much flatter-chested.) Size 6, per usual. Falls on natural waist/ isn't too snug. Nor are the armpits too tight/loose. Zipper easy to reach solo. Length = perfect. (Prefer 'leggy' dresses.) Love its slight volume + silvery sheen. Also be prepared to 'tulip'. This dress twirls!!!! BB DAKOTA: Every BB owned is of excellent quality. Good fabrics/nice tailoring. Thumbs up for tall girls w' short toros. (NOT recommended for tall girls w' long torsos.) CAN I MOUNT A BIKE TASTEFULLY: Yes!!! SOLE COMPLAINT: Purchased a few days before it went on sale. After chatting with a rep about this dress' particulars, was surprised that the rep failed to mention its forthcoming slash. Definitely would have waited to buy had I known. Also felt dishonest to purchase a 2nd dress on sale only to return the original. A little "wink" would have boosted my faith in MC's otherwise stellar customer service. Merci Modcloth!
