I wanted to wear this dress to a semi formal banquet I have coming up. When I got the dress there were a few problems. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the packaging was all the static. A dryer sheet will easily fix that, but there was so much that I was worried that the static wouldn't stay out during the dinner. Then when I put on the dress I discovered that because I am so short waisted, I had to pull up the top a good inch and a half to get it to sit where it should to cover my chest. And even then the dress was gaping in the front where the arm holes met my chest. Darts would have fixed that problem. But then I would have had to add two more darts to get it to shape to my bust, instead of hanging straight down, which wasn't flattering at all, even if you were going for the '20s flapper look. I thought about getting the alterations done, but decided that for $167.99, the dress should be absolute perfection. Very disappointed with this one and will be returning it.

I bought this dress for a funeral, and had it shipped overnight. I came in time, but I was very disappointed in the quality of material used. For the price, it just wasn't worth it. I didn't wear it to the funeral, and had to then rush to find something else to wear. I returned it. My main issue was that it was made out of a lesser quality material, and some of the types of fabrics just looked cheap and felt cheap. It also ran really big. I am usually an 8, and I got a 6. Way too big. I should have gotten a 4 in this case. I have always been very happy with my other purchases on Modcloth. This is the first.

I was looking for a dress that would do double duty and be appropriate for weddings, but dressy and fun enough for holiday parties. This is it! Just perfect. Very flattering on. The sheer top and keyhole opening in back are wonderful touches. You can't go wrong with this one!
